Have you been taken advantage of by an SEO company?

It happens to thousands of people a month if that's any condolence.
It's probably not.

We know. We feel your pain. The sales pitch was pretty good and maybe business is a little slow. The sales person promised you top rankings, lots of phone calls etc... They may have even told you they already have people looking for your type of business. They have clients to send you right now!

Perhaps they gave you the line about a special algorithm (Lie!) or maybe they said they have an in with the Search engines, No Way!

So you got taken, What are you going to do about it?

Well, First things first. Lets get your money back. After that you can report them and warn others.

Getting your money back.

1. CreditCard
If the charge is coming up simply call your bacnk or creditcard company and tell them that you are not allowing any more charges from that company. They will cancel the abaility of the companye to continue chargine you. If the transaction is already processed it will take a little more work to cancel. You can easily call your creditcard company and have them open an investigation though. This will typicaly work out in about 30 to 60 days.

2. Checking account or ACH
Cancelling this type of charge can be really easy or moderatly difficult. For the company to pull money from your account, they have to have your permission which you probably gave them back when you were excited by the sales person. You simply need to remove your permission. You can call your bacnk directly and tell them you want to cancel an automated draft, ACH. They will know what you are talking about. Give them the company name and the amount.

Bad news on this one. Its difficult to get your money back for transactions that have already procesed.

Warn others!

They don't care much about the negative ratings, they only care about how many they are getting and at what frequency. Too many and they have to shut down or change the name of thier business.
